Skittles Will No Longer Be Made With Titanium Dioxide

Last week RFK jr released a report stating the additive is “widely used in a range of candies and sauces [and] may cause cellular and DNA damage.”
Titanium dioxide is used in foods to make them look whiter and more opaque. In 2022, the European Union banned it following a report by the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) that pointed to the additive’s genotoxicity.
Despite Skittles not using titanium dioxide anymore, there are still over 4,300 candies containing the additive according to reports.
