Canadian dad rips school board for sexually explicit book available to young children, gender policies

A Parent of a fourth grade student in Canada raised concerns about a sexually explicit book in the school’s library
A Canadian father, David Todor, lashed out at a school board meeting after he said he had discovered sexually explicit passages in a book said to be available to his 7-year-old daughter.
David Todor spoke during a public portion of a Waterloo Region District meeting in Waterloo, Ontario in Canada, raising concerns about a book by Toni Morrison, titled, “The Bluest Eye.”
“Who is interested in knowing my daughter’s sexual orientation and confirming it, celebrating?! Why does the school board support child abuse and have these books available in the library?” the father said in a video first tagged by True North journalist Cosmin Dzsurdzsa.
According to Amazon, the book is a national bestseller and is about an 11-year-old Black girl who prays for her eyes to turn blue, to make her beautiful.
Todor also raised concerns about the school district’s policies and a couple of surveys he says were given to students between fourth and 12th grades.
