How a Superior Word Can Nullify a Negative Report Over Your Child

by | Nov 28, 2023 | Spiritual Growth

“After He put them all out, He took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with Him, and went in where the child was. He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished.”

Mark 5:40-42

This month, my twins turned 2. The last 2 years of my life were years of transformation. Being a new mother taught me to lean on Jesus more than ever before. After 2 years, I can confidently say every experience, the good and the bad, in the hands of Jesus has been rewarding.

In this post, I want to encourage you parents with a testimony that will convince you that Jesus has the final say over your child’s life.

When my child was around 5 or 6 months old, the doctor gave a probable diagnosis for a certain health issue that showed up on the child’s body.

That evening, I was deeply discouraged and wished this diagnosis wasn’t true. But, I decided not to share this with anyone, not even with my immediate family because I did not want them to speak anything negative over my child.

That week, our man of God, my spiritual father, Prophet Derrick D’Souza, brought a “Now Word” to us, asking us to seek God for “Strategies” to overcome the problems we were facing.

I took hold of that Word and began to seek the Lord for a strategy to see my child healed.

As I sought the Lord, this is the strategy He gave me- to take communion daily, remembering, believing, and declaring what Jesus has already done for us on the cross.

And as I began to implement this strategy, faith began to rise in me. I began to see with my spiritual eyes my child healed.

Within a few months, the healing began to manifest in the natural- that health problem began to reduce until it was no more!

My child was healed.

The Superior Word that nullifies an inferior word

Dear parent, no matter what, and I mean it, no matter what the doctor’s report says, that is not the final word over your child.

There is a superior Word over your child that says,

“But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed.”

Isaiah 53:5

People will always speak from their limited understanding and worldly perspective. Your problems taken to people who are not walking by faith can only fan self-pity and discouragement; healing comes from Jesus and by believing His Word.

No matter what your child is going through, take it to the Lord and use the Word as your weapon to fight that.

The Power of the Blood!

Even if you as a parent messed up and the devil condemns you, saying your child is suffering because of your sin, remind yourself and remind the devil that the Blood of Jesus covers you and your sins are washed away by His Blood. The devil will no longer have a hold on you.

You who believe in Jesus, you are the righteousness of God not because of what you did or didn’t do, it is simply because of what Jesus has done for you and your faith in Him.

Even right now, as you read this, if you believe that Jesus has already paid the price for you and your child that you may live not in fear, not in sickness, but live in FREEDOM, if you believe this, declare and receive healing for your child.

That doctor’s report will turn into a testimony in your child’s life.

Jesus has the final say.
