How You Can Reach Into Your Children’s Future
How many of us, as parents, are often found anxious about where the world is heading and the challenges we foresee our children facing (which were unimaginable in our times)!
One day as I was praying for my children, the Holy Spirit led me to Hebrews 11:20.
It says : By faith Isaac invoked future blessings on Jacob and Esau.
This made me jump up and celebrate the goodness of God. In this Scripture I found the key how I can secure my children’s destiny in Christ instead of worrying about the times to come.
The Message version of the verse says, “By an act of faith, Isaac reached into the future as he blessed Jacob and Esau”
And here is the TPT translation: The power of faith prompted Isaac to impart a blessing to his sons, Jacob and Esau, concerning their prophetic destinies.
As an heir of God’s covenant, Issac carried a blessing and spiritual authority from God. So when it came to his children’s future, he didn’t limit himself to what was happening in the seen world, but by faith, he reached into their future and commanded their destiny.
How did he do that practically?
By blessing his children! or By opening his mouth and speaking God’s promises over his children!
As parents, you have the same authority. You are in a covenant with God that is sealed with the blood of Jesus. God promises that “the seed of the righteous shall be delivered Proverbs 11:21 and also he says in Isaiah 49:25 NLT “For I will fight those who fight you, and I will save your children.”
You can use your mouth to release words of blessing over your children and frame their world by the word of God (Hebrews 11:3). Every day begin to quote the Word of God over your children. Even if your child is grown and of age – it matters not! God has stacked the deck in our favor! In their favor! And by faith you can bless your children by releasing words that will run ahead of your children and carry them to where God wants them to be.
Wow, your children are going to be no-ordinary children who walk with the Living God, in Jesus name!
